A Day in The Life of a Senior Candidate Consultant
A typical day in the life of our Senior Candidate Consultant, Megan Blissett, has proven to change over the past 2 years. Since going into lockdown almost two years to the date, Megan went from a fast-paced job and busy social life, to working from home and having the same routine for months! Now we are back to ‘normality’, and she has returned to the office full-time, everything has started to pick back up for Megan, especially her career!
Here is what Megan’s typical day looks like…
At 6:30am, she wakes up and makes a cup of coffee. As someone who has worked in the corporate world now for over 3 years, you can imagine she has become some what of a coffee lover (aren’t we all!). Megan likes to take her time to get ready but ensures she gets out the door no later than 7:30am. She always says goodbye to Blue – how can you not miss that face! Megan’s commute takes her anywhere from 40-60 minutes to get into Lucid HQ but that gives her plenty of time to get pumped up for the day and manifest that morning motivation.
Once she has arrived at work around 8:15am, she makes another cup of coffee (of course!) and starts writing her to do list ready to start the day sharply at 9am. Megan is a true believer in failure to prepare is preparing to fail, so she ensures her tasks for the day are noted and kept on top of.
As a Senior Candidate Consultant, Megan works closely with the Account Management team here at Lucid and allocates the Candidate Consultants with dedicated resource for the jobs needing worked on for that particular day.
No day is the same here at Lucid, however, Megan is fantastic at working closely with all the departments to ensure resource and support is allocated and prioritised for the most urgent roles needing filled. Depending on the role, Megan and the Candidate Consultants aim to qualify a minimum of 5 candidates a day for each role. This gives our clients several contractors to choose from, as we understand how crucial it is that roles are filled with the best possible talent.
10:30am = Morning Break
1pm = Lunch Time
3:30pm = Afternoon Break
Sometimes in the afternoon, if roles have been filled or moved on from, allocation of resource will be switched up. Megan fully supports the Candidate Consultants by helping form their boolean searches and makes sure their calls to contractors are professional, clear, and concise. Every now and then, Megan will be kind enough to take part in some social media content with our Digital Marketing Executive, Becca, to showcase what it’s like to work at Lucid Support Services and when we are recruiting internally. You can see her in action on our TikTok account: @lucidsupport2
At precisely 5:30pm, Megan’s working day comes to an end and she either heads out for a meal to one of her favourite Italian restaurant (Muratis) with Lucid bestie, Chelsea, or heads home for a relaxing and unwinding bath (and to see the beautiful Blue). And that is a typical day in the life of Megan Blissett!
