Senior Full Stack Developer

 

Salary up to £75K + benefits

 

Job Purpose:

 

Responsible for the user experience and development of SIS digital products, ensuring the customer experience is optimised to improve productivity.  This role is suited for a multi-disciplinary candidate, ideally with skills in user experience and user interface design.

 

Working location: 

 

The role is based in the Milton Keynes office (2 days a week) with a hybrid arrangement of time in the office and working from home. 

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Expertise in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, CSS3 and HTML5 and third-party libraries such as React Js, Angular, jQuery and Node.js.
  • Knowledge of server-side programming languages including Net, Java and Python
  • Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions with a deep understanding of mobile first and responsive design.
  • Familiarity with DBMS technology, including SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB and MySQL and caching mechanisms such as Redis.
  • Develop APIs and RESTful services.
  • Experience working with Apache servers with a solid background in Linux.
  • Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation.
  • Knowledge of Unit, Integration and E2E Testing
  • Ability to work with remote Linux boxes as well as cloud architecture providers (Azure, AWS)
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools (JIRA)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tooling, pipelines and practices using tools like TeamCity, Octopus Deploy etc.
  • Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
  • Ability to communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions clearly and effectively to internal teams & 3rd parties.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, quick turnaround environment.
  • Highly organised and diligent with a capacity to work on multiple projects and tasks at the same time.
  • Support and develop software engineers by providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities.
