Senior Full Stack Web Developer

Telecommunications

Athens - Hybrid

We are working with a global provider of cloud, data and network-as-a-service to hire Full Stack Developers to join a globally distributed software engineering team.

This is a Full-time position with a Hybrid working model (Once or twice a month to attend team meetings in the Athens office)

Role Overview

This role is part of the engineering team that applies the best of open source technologies to a challenging domain where software meets network.

As a Senior Software Engineer, youll play a crucial role in transforming part of the backend systems using new microservice implementations and ensuring that developers workflow follows best practices. To do this, youll have in-depth knowledge and understanding of Software Engineering, web application software, and design principles. You must have industry-leading technical abilities and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the application of guidelines set by Software Architects in the context of your team, provide feedback as regards coding standards, industry best practices, and security standards, deriving valuable practices to ensure a good Developer experience.
  • Contribute both in frontend and backend software development.
  • Work closely with teams such as UX designers, mobility engineers and other software teams across multiple time zones to design specifications and take proactive measures to respond effectively to multiple stakeholders.
  • Perform requirements analysis with a variety of stakeholders across the business.
  • Present complex analysis in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
  • Build relationships across global teams to increase effectiveness.
  • Identify key technical points and potential value in a certain technical discipline.
  • Mentor and train software engineers.
  • Hold technical interviews in the area of expertise.
  • Handle and solve product/project problems and difficulties independently.
  • Open to the scenario of learning new programming languages from scratch.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiar with Docker, Jenkins.
  • Experience with Auth0 and JWT authentication.
  • Experience in Elasticsearch.
  • Experience with TypeScript, Mocha/Jest, LoopBack, Webpack.
  • Experience in Google Cloud, Kubernetes.
  • Experience with microfrontends.
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails.
  • Experience in business-critical backend microservices like billing in Java and Kotlin.
  • Experience in business logic components like Camunda BPMN and DMN.
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD.
  • Experience with Redis.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
