Business Systems Analyst

Peterborough - 6 month contract - Inside IR35

 

An Exciting opportunity has arisen for our customer to join them on an ongoing contract. The successful candidate will be joining and established, but growing team and have a diverse technical background and competency.

• Able to work with the business to determine requirements for user stories
• Convert user stories to requirements and explain on a technical level
• Must have strong analytical skills to analyse both data and people driven tasks
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users and demonstrate processes as part of a knowledge transfer
• Knowledge of Oracle and SQL; PL/SQL preferential
• Knowledge of ITIL processes, and how ticketing systems works
• Strong knowledge of IT systems, including desktop/server, application, and networking
• Knowledge of security vulnerabilities; System Patching etc.
• Programming experience - mainly .net stack - C# and Angular
• General technical skills: Azure DevOps, Linux, VMWare, Firewalls and networking etc.
• Knowledge of Systems Architecture: software development, or hardware architecture
• Authority and confidence to recognise when to challenge a decision/design process
• Good knowledge of Agile and waterfall environments
• Able to facilitate and lead discussions where required to help break through blockers or make a decision where required (eg workshops with relevant parties)
• Ability to identify risks/issues with workload, and raise a work item for discussion
• Able to create plans for areas within Agile development (eg UAT), and execute/hand over
• Able to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with applications/systems
