JOB DESCRIPTION:

Repair Technician – Coventry - 12 months (temporary to permanent) – Inside IR35

 

Lucid Support Services are proud to be working with an established IT Service partner on a new Repair Technician opportunity. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining a variety of IT equipment including laptops, desktops, printers, and EPOS systems.

 

As a growing organisation, we frequently have new and existing IT hardware that needs inspection, troubleshooting, component replacement, and repair. We are looking for motivated technicians who take pride in their work and enjoy finding solutions to technical problems. Attention to detail and ability to follow processes and procedures is essential.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults in laptops, desktops, printers, EPOS systems and other IT equipment
• Disassemble equipment and replace any faulty components and modules
• Test repaired equipment to ensure it is fully functional
• Follow documentation such as schematics, diagrams, and manuals
• Accurately log and track repair jobs and parts used
• Provide feedback on recurrent issues and faults
• Comply with health and safety guidelines for electronics repair
• Maintain a clean, orderly and efficient workspace

 

Requirements

• Proven experience repairing IT equipment including laptops, PCs, printers etc.
• Good working knowledge of electronic circuits, components, and tools
• Proficiency in using diagnostic software and testing tools
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
• Good communication skills
• Diligent attention to detail
• Ability to work accurately under pressure
• Relevant electronics repair certification (desirable)
