Information Security Specialist

Remote Hybrid- occasional travel to office

Athens

Up to €76,000 + Bonus + Benefits

We are working with a global provider of Cloud, Data and Network-as-a-service to hire an Information Security Specialist to join their global Cyber Security team.

This is a Full-time position with a Hybrid working model (Once or twice a month to attend team meetings in the Athens office)

Role Overview

Working with a globally distributed corporate IT team and other stakeholders across the business to influence and improve the security of the corporate networks by taking a risk-management based approach to information and cyber security and taking ownership of security projects. Managing projects through an ISO27001 certified information security management system, collaborating with a global Security Steering Committee and Athens based SOC team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with different teams across the organisation to identify, select, and implement technical security controls.
  • Undertake risk assessments for system migrations, integrations, and modern technology implementations.
  • Work with systems owners to enhance identity and access management utilising Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), and single sign-on (SSO) tools.
  • Define information security requirements for zero-trust security solutions such as SASE and SSE to ensure effective implemented and enforcement of strong access controls, data leakage prevention, monitoring, and web filtering.
  • Ensure secure configurations of Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) and other endpoint management systems to effectively manage endpoint devices.
  • Provide information security advice and guidance to System Architects and engineering teams to ensure security requirements are integrated when architecting and building new systems.
  • Define and document baseline security configuration standards and guidelines.
  • Validate and provide guidance on implementing these standards and guidelines for operating systems, applications, cloud applications, firewalls etc.
  • Undertake technical compliance audits.
  • Architect and implement solutions to address security audit results.
  • Work with security and compliance team to ensure that controls are applied to any PII data within the information systems as required.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Information Security Officers as required.
  • Ensure that proposed technology and process changes meet compliance requirements with internal standards and regulatory, legal and compliance obligations.
  • Effectively communicate with executives, partners, suppliers and internal customers

Core Competencies, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar (desirable)
  • Proven experience within cyber-security role
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST Cyber Security Framework, CIS Benchmarking, or MITRE
  • Relevant industry certifications which may include CISSP, CISA, CISM
  • Strong understanding of Identity Governance and Access Management best practices, standards and protocols
  • Previous experience working on Identity Governance and Administration solutions, and access management solutions.
  • Good understanding of networking technologies, cloud computing, zero trust solutions, SIEM, and endpoint management.
  • Strong communications skills including both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work with teams of technical and non-technical individuals and at all levels.
  • Previous experience working in an Agile environment desirable
