JOB DESCRIPTION:

Network Engineer – Remote (Ideally South Wales) – 10 Month’s – Inside IR35

 

Lucid Support are proud to be working with an established IT Services organisation on a new Network Engineer opportunity, this will be for an initial 10 month remote inside IR35 contract, fully remote. You will be responsible for the stability and performance of the network infrastructure across their retail stores and supporting offices during a nationwide network refresh.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, configure and troubleshoot the company's LAN/WAN infrastructure and VPNs
• Manage network hardware including switches, routers, firewalls
• Work with ISP/MPLS providers on new site connectivity and circuits
• Maintain updated network diagrams and configuration backups

 

Required Experience:

• CCNA certified or equivalent work experience
• Proficient with Cisco IOS, CLI, switching, routing, troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of core network concepts like OSI, DHCP, VLANs
• Working knowledge of VPN protocols such as IPSec, DMVPN
• Familiarity with common broadband circuit types
• Experience activating circuits with major ISPs
• Solid understanding of structured cabling best practices
