We have partnered with a telecommunications provider to assist with their search for an experienced Management Accountant to join their in-house team following an exciting merger backed by one of the UK’s largest infrastructure equity investment firms.

We are therefore seeking a Finance professional with expertise in financial insights, cost analysis and management accounts to drive financial planning and control.

As a Management Accountant, this role will own responsibility for financial insights, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial data, working closely with internal Stakeholders and external Financial Reporting Bodies.

Role Duties:

• Prepare management accounts: Analyse costs and collaborate across departments to drive financial planning and control.
• Monthly Financial Reporting: Lead financial reporting, providing accurate and comprehensive monthly management accounts and reports to track financial performance. Delivering insights that guide strategic decisions.
• Cost Analysis: Carry out thorough cost analysis and expenses to identify trends and opportunities for optimisation.
• Revenue Recognition: Ensure precise recognition of revenue under accounting standards and company policies.
• Budget Monitoring: Assist in budget development and forecasts while monitoring actual performance against budgets to ensure accurate reporting, keeping us on track for success. 
• Financial Control: Implement and maintain robust financial controls to safeguard company assets, ensure compliance, and continuously refine accounting processes.
• Management Reporting: Develop detailed management reports, including key performance indicators and financial metrics, to provide insights for strategic decision-making.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Analytical Thinking - Demonstrated expertise in interpreting financial data and consistently making data-driven decisions with precision and insight.
• Ethical Integrity - Proven track record of consistently upholding the highest ethical standards and integrity in all financial activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and fostering trust within an organisation.
• Problem Solving - Exceptional proficiency in effectively identifying, analysing, and solving complex financial issues with ingenuity, resourcefulness, and a results-oriented approach.
• Accounting Software and Microsoft Excel - Demonstrated proficiency in accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to efficiently navigate complex financial models, analyse data and generate accurate reports.
• Detail-oriented - Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all financial tasks and reporting.
• Management Accounting or Financial Analysis Experience - Proven experience in roles involving management accounting or financial analysis, showcasing expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic decision-making.
