JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Data Quality Specialist (SC Clearance Required)

 

Duration: 8 months

Location: London (hybrid preferred, remote acceptable)

Start Date: End of April (ASAP)

Day Rate: £475 (Outside IR35)

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Informatica Implementation (essential):
    • Extensive experience working with Informatica products, including Data Governance and Catalogue, Data Quality, Data Profiling, and Data Marketplace.
    • Lead the setup of these Informatica products, provide recommendations and relevant documentation to implement effective supporting processes, and upskill stakeholders.

 

  1. Data Visualisation & Reporting:
    • Experience in data visualisation using Informatica tools, understanding business needs from data, identifying trends, communicating their impact to non-technical stakeholders, and recommending actions to data engineers.

 

  1. Data Quality Analysis:
    • Highly experienced in performing data quality analysis, identifying data quality issues, and working with data engineers and wider teams to resolve them.
    • Experienced in performing root cause analysis of data quality issues and working with teams to identify ways to prevent issues from occurring in the future.

 

  1. Data Leadership:
    • Experienced in leading the development of replicable processes to drive up Data Quality within specific business areas and across the organisation.
    • Comfortable delivering in collaboration with Data Engineers, providing guidance on quality improvements, and upskilling where unfamiliarity with Informatica products may be causing issues.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • SC Clearance is a requirement.
  • Proactive and can work autonomously as part of a multidisciplinary team with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience of working in a leadership capacity with data teams.
  • Experience/good understanding of working in agile environments and GDS (Alpha/Private Beta/Beta).
  • Highly competent communicator who can work effectively with key non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the limitations of Informatica tooling and ability to support Data Governance Lead in recommending any scenarios where other tools may be more appropriate to achieve the organisation's goals.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
