JOB DESCRIPTION:

Infrastructure Project Engineer – up to £45,000 (DOE) + Benefits & Overtime

Hybrid working home and office.

We are currently looking for an Infrastructure Project Engineer to join our client, one of the UK’s leading independent providers of professional IT-managed services, across a range of sectors. The ideal candidate will have experience in Service Delivery, a demonstrable history of successful Project delivery.

You will be a vital part of a specialist team within the Infrastructure Department, focusing exclusively on the delivery of Projects, including but not limited to:

  • New build Cloud Deployments, including Private, Multi-tenant, and Public Cloud Platforms
  • Lifecycle Refresh, Digital Transformation Projects
  • Service implementation, Data and Application migration projects.
  • Security and Compliance lockdowns
  • Platform support and maintenance

Core Technical Skills:

  • Microsoft Server, Desktop, and Productivity Software, including Microsoft Apps
  • Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, Security
  • Virtualisation – Hyper-V, VMware, Hyper-Converged infrastructure
  • Public Cloud Services – Azure, AWS
  • Remote Desktop Services / VDI
  • Scripting and PowerShell
  • Networking – Firewalls, Switch configuration, LAN/WAN, Routing
  • Storage concepts – NAS/SAN, iSCSI/Fibre Channel, RAID, Disk Systems
  • A good working knowledge of:

Project frameworks – Agile / Prince2

ITIL and Ticket Management
