JOB DESCRIPTION:

Senior Technical Architect (Devices)

Location: Remote & London or Glasgow

Rate: £800 per day (Inside IR35)

Contract: Until March 2025

Security Clearance: SC or DV

 

Summary:

We're seeking a seasoned Technical Architect (Devices) to lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable solutions for a Buyer's IT service. You'll possess in-depth knowledge of hardware evaluation, MDM/UEM platforms, and security assessments.

 

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality technical architectures, from concept to detailed design, using industry-standard tools.
• Translate complex business needs into technical solutions, bridging the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Design robust security controls throughout solutions, ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements.
• Deliver presentations and justify design decisions to technical authorities.
• Collaborate with product and delivery teams to plan for product implementation and ongoing support.
• Consider enhanced security posture and threats when designing solutions.
• Evaluate design/technology options and provide clear recommendations.

 

Requirements:

• Experience in detailed technical hardware evaluation and physical model selection (PCs, laptops, mobiles, printers, etc.).
• Working knowledge and experience using MDM/UEM platforms.
• Experience in security assessments of physical hardware (hardware, firmware, and OS levels).
• Strong understanding of industry-standard IT technologies across various domains (business, data, application, etc.).
• Deep understanding of fundamental technology components (APIs, containerisation, microservices, etc.).
