Job Title: 2nd Line Support Engineer
Contract Duration: 6 months
Working Location: Onsite – Wolverhampton
Working Days: 2 days per week (ideally Tuesday and Wednesday)
Start Date: ASAP
Overview
We are seeking a talented L2 Support Engineer to join our dynamic team based in Wolverhampton. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and technical support to end users. As an L2 Support Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and providing high-quality support to our users.
Responsibilities
- Provide second level technical support to end users, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues
- Perform password resets and account management tasks in Active Directory
- Conduct asset audits and maintain accurate inventory of hardware and software
- Collaborate with L1 support team to escalate and resolve complex technical issues
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems and applications
- Document support procedures and user guides to enhance knowledge sharing and user empowerment
Day-to-Day
- Responding to escalated support tickets and providing timely resolution
- Assisting with onboarding and offboarding of employees, including account setups and hardware provisioning
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve support processes
- Conducting regular asset audits and updating inventory records
- Providing user education and proactive support to enhance end user experience
