Role: VMware Specialist (SC Cleared)

Duration: until March 2025

Location: Remote / London

Rate: £600 Inside IR35

 

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled VMware Specialist to join our team and deliver a critical project for one of our central government clients.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and deploying VMware VCF. This is a contract position with hybrid working arrangements in London.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • VMware VCF Deployment: Lead the design, implementation, and configuration of VMware VCF environments.
  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the management and optimization of VMware VCF infrastructure, including compute, storage, and networking components.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate deep knowledge of VMware technologies, including vSphere, NSX, and vSAN.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues related to VMware VCF deployments.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with project teams, stakeholders, and government representatives.

 

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in building and deploying VMware VCF solutions.
  • Strong technical expertise in VMware technologies, including vSphere, NSX, and vSAN.
  • Solid understanding of virtualization concepts and best practices.
  • Experience working in government or highly regulated environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certifications.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
  • Security clearance (DV or SC).
