Technology Consultant

Full-time- Hybrid or Remote

Some travel to client sites

Our client is a one of the UK's Top Technology Consulting Firms and are looking to expand by adding a Technology Consultant to the team.

 

As a Technology Consultant, you’ll have the opportunity to take on a client-facing role that’s essential to transforming how organisations use technology.

 

You will be responsible for shaping digital strategies and leading technology change projects that drive tangible results for our clients.

This key position requires someone who is adaptable, with excellent problem-solving skills and a strong focus on client satisfaction. If you have experience advising senior stakeholders, managing technology solutions, and delivering complex projects while ensuring the highest levels of service, this role could be the perfect fit for you!

 

As part of the role, you’ll work closely with clients to understand their business needs, provide actionable insights, and manage technology transformation projects from start to finish. Your ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams will ensure the smooth delivery of tailored technology solutions aligned with the client’s goals.

 

The ideal candidate will possess strong consulting experience, a strong understanding of commercials, be highly organised with the ability to interpret complex business challenges into technology solutions. This is a dynamic role with the autonomy to shape digital transformation projects and ensure lasting success for our clients.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising management executives and the broader senior stakeholders, to transform their organisations for the digital age.
  • Meeting clients to perform assessments of problematic situations and fully understand the client's business needs.
  • Collaborating with technical and non-technical teams to ensure familiarity with the client’s business.
  • Collect information about the client’s business through a variety of methods (shadowing, interviews, surveys, reading reports etc.)
  • Analyse and interpret data to unearth weaknesses and problems and comprehend the causes.
  • Diagnosing IT system problems and inefficiencies.
  • Analysing and determining risks and mitigations such as security threats, data risks, human risks etc.
  • Formulate recommendations and solutions with attention to a client’s objectives, strategy, capabilities, and limitations.
  • Writing technology plans and articulate project scopes.
  • Organise and execute assigned business and technology projects on behalf of clients aligned to the roadmap.
  • Present findings and suggestions to clients with ample justification and practical advice.
  • Assist the client in implementing the plan, resolve any occasional discrepancies and provide guidance for any occurring problems and issues.
  • Monitoring the success of technology solutions.
  • Training staff to use the new technology, processes, and IT systems.

 

Essential skills & experience

  • Successful candidates may have worked in technology for 3+ years with a minimum of 2nd/3rd line IT experience
  • Experience of developing technology solutions or being involved in projects where solutions have been designed
  • Demonstrable experience in analytical thinking, communication, written and presentation skills
  • Experience in working with technology in core business functions such as Finance, HR, Operations, Sales, Marketing etc.
  • Experience of technology operations, project management, service delivery
  • Experience of understanding and articulating the impact of emerging technology trends
  • Experience in the delivery of technology transformation programmes incorporating people, process and/or technology changes
  • Experience of managing client relationships
