Senior Full Stack Engineer

Milton Keynes- Hybrid- 3 days on site

Up to £75,000 DOE

 

Lucid Connect have partnered with a leading company within the sports steaming industry to find a Senior Full stack Software Engineer to join the team. This role will be responsible for leading the capabilities of the domain team ensuring the development and maintenance of resilient, scalable, and performant systems, while guiding developers and contributing to future architecture using Java, React and Agile methodologies with Microsoft Azure technologies.

 

This role will cover approx. 30% Front End (using ideally react) and 70% back end (Java).

 

Key Responsibilities:

• To lead the technical capabilities of the domain team, working with the architects and producing low level designs, assisting the BA/PO in feature refinement and guiding the developers within the team to be able to accurately refine and deliver the features.
• Develop and maintain resilient, scalable and performant (sub one second) systems for processing real-time data via a number of delivery mechanisms and protocols such as HTTP, FTP and web sockets.
• Develop and maintain systems that are responsible for distribution of SIS products to the online and retail customers.
• To contribute to the future architecture of the systems responsible for integration with third party data providers and delivery of a data product to our customers.
• To address technical debt and to ensure that systems adhere to SOLID design principles.
• To ensure that there is an effective continuous delivery pipeline that enables incremental releases of stable software into production using Microsoft Azure technologies.

 

Skills and Experience

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role. 
• Exposure to all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Experience of working in a structured environment. 
• Good grasp of software delivery using Agile methodologies and principles. 
• JAVA using SOLID principles and design patterns.
• React or similar frameworks.
• Unit testing, TDD.
• Strong experience of database analysis, designing and querying. Oracle and/or SQL Server. 
• Continuous integration/delivery (Git, JIRA).
• Self-starter works well with minimal supervision.
