JOB DESCRIPTION:
Lead Delivery Manager - 4-6 Month Contract
Location: Manchester (2 days per week on-site)
Rate: £500 per day Inside IR35
We are seeking an experienced Lead Delivery Manager to join our product-based multi-disciplinary team for a 4-6 month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and transforming the current operating model of two distinct product teams to improve consistency, efficiency, and team morale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess current delivery frameworks, processes, practices, toolsets, and organizational structure
- Identify improvement opportunities and evaluate potential options
- Develop and present recommendations for a future state model
- Create a transformation plan and execute changes in collaboration with the leadership team
- Implement improvement activities and upskill current team members
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven track record in delivering complex software development projects
- In-depth knowledge of Agile and Lean methodologies
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in optimizing delivery processes and team structures
Desirable:
- Experience implementing Six Sigma change activities in an IT environment.
The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, practical experience, and knowledge to improve throughput, streamline processes, and boost team morale in a government digital services context
