JOB DESCRIPTION:

2nd Line Network Engineer
Northampton/Remote - Inside IR35 - 3 months

An urgent opportunity has arisen for our customer, based in Northampton, to provide remote based, networking support. The role will be predominately remote, with the occasional site visit required. 

 

 

• Providing 2nd line support for network infrastructure, including troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance.
• Monitoring network performance and identifying operational issues.
• Assisting in the documentation of network configurations and processes.
• Collaborating with other IT teams to address complex network-related issues.
• Participating in the on-call support rotation schedule.
• Responding to escalated network support tickets.
• Configuring and troubleshooting network devices, such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Collaborating with 3rd line engineers and vendors to resolve network incidents and problems.
• Keeping abreast of new network technologies and best practices.
