JOB DESCRIPTION:

User Researcher

• 6 months +
• Remote-working
• £400pd+ (Inside IR35)

We are seeking a skilled User Researcher to join an NHS programme team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in understanding user needs and behaviours to inform the design and development of digital health services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and conduct user research activities using a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods
• Recruit and engage with a diverse range of participants, including those with additional needs
• Analyze research data to provide actionable insights that inform service design and development
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including designers, developers, and product managers
• Communicate research findings effectively to stakeholders through presentations and reports
• Advocate for inclusive design and accessibility in all digital services
• Contribute to the development of user personas and journey maps
• Evaluate prototypes and existing services to identify usability issues and areas for improvement

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in user research, preferably in healthcare or public sector settings
• Strong knowledge of user-centered design practices and research methodologies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in an agile environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Understanding of accessibility needs and inclusive research practices

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with health and social care systems
• Knowledge of data protection and research ethics in healthcare
• Familiarity with agile development processes
