JOB DESCRIPTION:
User Researcher
- 6 months +
- Remote-working
- £400pd+ (Inside IR35)
We are seeking a skilled User Researcher to join an NHS programme team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in understanding user needs and behaviours to inform the design and development of digital health services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and conduct user research activities using a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods
- Recruit and engage with a diverse range of participants, including those with additional needs
- Analyze research data to provide actionable insights that inform service design and development
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including designers, developers, and product managers
- Communicate research findings effectively to stakeholders through presentations and reports
- Advocate for inclusive design and accessibility in all digital services
- Contribute to the development of user personas and journey maps
- Evaluate prototypes and existing services to identify usability issues and areas for improvement
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in user research, preferably in healthcare or public sector settings
- Strong knowledge of user-centered design practices and research methodologies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in an agile environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Understanding of accessibility needs and inclusive research practices
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with health and social care systems
- Knowledge of data protection and research ethics in healthcare
- Familiarity with agile development processes
