Managed Services Pre-Sales Consultant
London / Remote / UK wide travel
Lucid Connect are recruiting a Pre-Sales Solution Architect in the Managed Services Cloud space to act as a technical expert, bridging the gap between sales and technical teams, by understanding client needs, designing solutions, and supporting the sales process, ultimately ensuring successful private and hybrid Cloud deployments and managed services implementations.

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Pre-Sales Solution Architect to join an established UK managed services team with a multi-award winning Cloud Service Provider. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in IT Support/Engineering, having transitioned into Pre-Sales and subsequently into a Solution Architect role. This position requires a generalist with extensive datacentre capabilities, as services are hosted within their own datacentres. The candidate should possess a broad understanding of various technologies without being limited to a specific vendor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with commercial teams to manage opportunities and support client engagements.
- Develop and present tailored solutions to meet client needs, leveraging datacentre capabilities.
- Conduct technical assessments and provide strategic guidance to clients.
- Facilitate smooth transitions from pre-sales to implementation phases.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
- Travel as required to meet clients and support sales activities.
Qualifications:
- Established experience in IT Support/Engineering, Pre-Sales, and Solution Architecture.
- Proven track record in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
- Extensive knowledge of datacentre operations and technologies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel as needed.

Experience and Qualifications
- Proven years of experience in a pre-sales or technical consulting role within the IT managed services industry.
- Strong technical background with expertise in cloud computing, networking, cybersecurity, end point management and IT infrastructure. (Not all expected)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Azure, Intune, O365, Sentinel, Networking).
- Experience with ITSM tools and frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
- Familiarity with managed services contracts and service level agreements (SLAs).
