Technical/Project Analyst

About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Analyst to join our team and support our dynamic manufacturing/engineering environment. This role is ideal for someone who understands both the technical, operational and project needs of a fast-paced production-based business.

Our client is embarking on a global network segmentation project and as part of the manufacturing systems team, you will be heavily involved with this work. Working with users to create documentation identifying Network “As is” and assisting the team with the network segmentation.

May require some supporting of users across desktops and laptops, diagnosing issues at both device and network level, and ensuring seamless connectivity within the infrastructure. You’ll work closely with IT teams and end users to troubleshoot problems, support systems, and help improve overall IT efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support across desktop, laptop, and network infrastructure
  • Diagnose connectivity issues between user devices and the network (wired and wireless)
  • Support end-user hardware and software across Windows-based and bespoke manufacturing environments
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure issues (DNS, DHCP, switches, patching, Wi-Fi, VPN, etc.)
  • Act as the technical bridge between IT support and business operations
  • Ensure device compliance with security and operational standards
  • Document and escalate issues as necessary while maintaining strong communication with users
  • Work collaboratively with wider IT teams to support project rollouts, upgrades, and system changes
  • Provide friendly, clear, and patient support to users at all levels, including shop floor and management

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong understanding of desktop and laptop hardware/software in enterprise environments
  • Solid grasp of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, routers/switches)
  • Experience in troubleshooting connectivity and infrastructure issues
  • Previous experience working in manufacturing or engineering environments (essential)
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, Office 365, Windows 10/11
  • Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical users in a clear and helpful way
  • Proven experience supporting end users in a hands-on, fast-paced setting

Desirable:

  • Certifications such as Microsoft (MCP/MCSA), or Cisco (CCNA)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems or industrial Applications
  • Strong knowledge of Server, Network, Firewall and General Large scale Infrastructure environments
  • Exposure to ITIL-based support frameworks
