JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Focus

  • Lead the technical implementation of infrastructure upgrades, server consolidation, and network improvements as per audit deliverables.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance and troubleshooting during installation.

 

Responsibilities

  • Validate and refine High-Level Designs (HLD) into actionable implementation plans.
  • Oversee installation and configuration of new hardware (servers, UPS, network equipment).
  • Lead virtual server builds, OS upgrades, and migrations ensuring system stability.
  • Resolve technical issues such as cluster and AD replication problems during rollout.
  • Configure backups, GPOs, and automatic update systems as per design.
  • Optimize network configurations to improve internet speeds
  • Provide technical documentation updates and conduct knowledge transfer sessions with Trust IT staff.

 

Required Experience

  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure deployment, virtualization, and networking.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with AD, cluster services, and Exchange migrations.
  • Experience working onsite in multi-location environments.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, Microsoft, VMware highly desirable.

 

Additional Notes

  • Both roles must ensure minimal disruption to school activities during installation.
  • Close collaboration between PM and SA is critical for smooth execution and rapid issue resolution.
  • Onsite presence in Romford and at Trust sites will be required throughout the project.
