Our client is a leading provider of weather data solutions, supporting a range of clients across both public and private sectors. Combining science, data and technology to deliver accurate, real-time weather intelligence through bespoke platforms, APIs, and digital services.
We’re looking for a resilient and proactive Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex data and software development projects. You will oversee the end-to-end delivery of products including weather data platforms, APIs, systems integration, and post-deployment support features.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing project team in a fast-moving, agile business where processes are evolving and ownership is encouraged. If you thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy bringing clarity to complexity, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of data and software projects, including APIs, system integrations, and support tools.
- Act as the primary liaison between internal development teams and external clients, ensuring requirements are well defined, progress is communicated, and delivery milestones are met.
- Manage the delivery of services for a high-profile client, navigating complex stakeholder expectations with professionalism and resilience.
- Drive structure and visibility within projects through appropriate frameworks (Agile, PRINCE2, or hybrid), balancing flexibility with governance.
- Help shape and implement project management processes, tools, and best practices to support the long-term scalability of the function.
- Monitor risks, budgets, and resource allocation, and adjust project plans as needed to ensure successful outcomes
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment, working closely with developers, data specialists, and product stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience managing technical projects involving APIs, data platforms, and/or software systems.
- Strong understanding of support models and the full project lifecycle for development-based projects.
- Resilient and pragmatic mindset with a calm, solution-focused approach to client and internal challenges
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methods (Scrum, Kanban) and a working knowledge of PRINCE2 principles
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical detail into clear project plans
- Comfortable working in environments with limited structure and excited by the opportunity to help build and improve internal ways of working
- Experience working with or managing external clients and stakeholders is advantageous
